Well, we spent out usual 15 hours at the Visitor Center last night. Never seem to be able to get an early start but I guess that is what is so great about traveling in a MH. No real rush except to get out of the bad weather.
As the day went on it warmed up considerably with the temp reaching 70 degrees. The sun and warmth felt wonderful and hopefully it will continue to stay warm.
We had to make a decision when we reached Jacksonville – continue heading South or take a right and head West to the Florida Panhandle where it might no be quite as warm. After some discussion and because we haven’t toured the Panhandle that is where we decided to go. We ended up at a Rest area on I-10 in Aucilla, FL. Very interesting place – not set up very well for trucks and MH’s but well protected with an armed security. Scary but safe.
Jewel liked it because it had a nice park area for her to walk and sniff to her hearts content.
Tomorrow we will head into Tallahassee and do some touristy things there.
r0n NOTE: the deadly low gas alarm sounded and Deb went into a GAS frenzy(she has a GAS issue). She slammed the window and laptop closed mind you I did take a short cut onto 301 so there where no immediate stations available so I had to make a metrical maneuver into a very tight Gas Station to quell the RAGE.
