Jewel, says are we moving again? Count me out.
Site # (27)
We are back in the Eastern Time Zone again so lost an hour, arriving at Torreya State Park at 1:30 PM. We’ll be looking for the very special Torreya tree that area is named after.
Yeah, the sun is shining and sky is is blue but the temps won’t get above 58. It’s ok with us though because we don’t mind cooler temps as long as we get some sunshine.
Ron did one of his famous moves in the MH and pulled into the camp site instead of backing in. Not sure how the backing out will work because of all the trees but he assures me it is not a problem. Ron loves to look out the windshield and experience the vistas and sunsets.
HIKE TO THE FALLS
This area of Florida reminds us of New England, lots of hills and woods. As the day progressed it warmed up so off we went on the hike to the Niagara Falls of Torreya State Park. The hike was all downhill about 1/3 mile and the return trip was uphill for one mile. LOL

Not quite Niagara but nice anyway
THE LONELY FLOWER
VIEW FROM CAMPGROUND
As you can see the view from the CG is quite beautiful and you can see for miles and miles. Before dinner we took another downhill hike hoping to get to the Apalachicola River but the bridge was washed out and we didn’t want to walk through the mud. The trail back up was very steep but our old bodies made it. Maybe tomorrow we will try again and get down to the river. We also plan on touring the Gregory House. There is predicted sunshine and warmer weather tomorrow. People here are talking about an early spring. We can only hope for that at home too.
