The temp got down to 28 degrees over night. BRRRR!!! But the day warmed up nicely to around 64 degrees with bright sunshine. In the afternoon we took a tour of the Gregory House an old plantation home that had been moved to its current location from across the Apalachicola River.
Rumor has it that the house is haunted and one of the rangers refuses to go into the home alone. The upstairs of the home was very warm except for one room that was noticeably colder. One couple swore they saw the cradle rocking on its own?????
The view from the second floor porch overlooking the Apalachicola River and the rolling hills beyond was breathtaking. What a perfect spot to live despite the ghosts.
TOUR OF GREGORY HOUSE
After the tour we went back to the CG to get Jewel so she could go on the River Bluff Trail hike with us. The 45 minute hike took us along the river and up some steep hills. Great exercise for all of us.

TORREYA TREE
The elusive Torreya tree. Turns out to be a pine tree specific to this area.

Tomorrow we will head out to the Suwannee River State Park. Our last stop on our trek home.
